Gerald Popejoy, age 81, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on June 19, 2011 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. Gerald was born in Pindall, Arkansas on June 28, 1929 to Belford Bedford and Effie Popejoy. Gerald served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and received an honorable discharge. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis (Elmore) Popejoy in 2011; his parents; one daughter, Rebecca Jean Rips; Gerald is survived by four sons, Jr. Popejoy of California; Billy Bedford Popejoy and wife Kim of Branson, Missouri; Jerry Popejoy and wife Suzane of Alpena, Arkansas; Ronny Popejoy; one daughter, Barbara Gasper and boyfriend Dennis Maybee of Alpena, Arkansas; one brother, BB Popejoy of Batavia, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
