Geraldine Nida, age 76 of Granbury, Texas and formerly from Northwest Arkansas, passed away March 18, 2016. Gerry was born December 18, 1939 in Seymour, Texas to parents Henry Bailey Machen and Charlotte Tuck Machen. She attended Bentonville High School and was united in marriage to Richard Nida. They enjoyed many years of marriage. Gerry worked with Richard as his office manager at Farmers Insurance Group. She later retired from First Brands/Clorox. Gerry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springdale. From her farm background, she enjoyed all kinds of animals but especially loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1984, and her parents. Gerry is survived by her two daughters, Vicky Robinson of Granbury, Texas and Debbie Forrey of Newburgh, Indiana; one sister, Betty Walters of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Stephen Robinson of Houston, Texas, Bailie Valdez of Tolar, Texas, Meghan Robinson of Granbury, Texas, McKay Forrey of Newburgh, Indiana, Meredith Forrey of Newburgh, Indiana; three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Graveside services are set for 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Benton County Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers.
