She was born on September 20, 1930, in Los Angeles, California to Ernest Herz and Isabel Vine Broadbeck.

She was proceeded in death by her father Ernest Herz; her mother Isabel Vine Brodbeck, and her brother Ernest Kent Brodbeck. She also outlived her husbands: Dominick Amorelli, Mike Bennett, Vito Casinelli, and Boyce Howell and recently her son-in-law James P Beasley

Gloria graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles and married Dominick Amorelli, her high school sweetheart. They were married for 25 years and raised three children, Mike, Paul, and Tess, in Culver City, CA.

During that time, she had an extensive career in photography and received many awards for her work. Out of all the careers in her life, she was most proud of the beautiful work she accomplished with her camera.

She enjoyed being active in volunteer work and local politics. She attended West LA Community College at the same time as her oldest son Mike. She made straight A’s and was on the dean's list twice.

Gloria was active in many civic causes, including serving as President of the Culver City Council, PTA Director of Education for the 33rd District, President of the Community Coordinating Council, the LA County Federation of Community Coordinating Councils, Chairman of the LA County Library Advisory Council; member of the Culver City Traffic Commission and was a candidate for Culver City Council and School Board.

She and her husband Mike Bennett moved to Rogers, AR. in 1975. There they both worked at War Eagle Mill for a short time.

Later, they met Frank Strode, the owner of Rogers Vinegar Co., and both went to work for him

She worked in the office at the Rogers Vinegar Co as a bookkeeper. She then went to work for The Weekly Vista newspaper as a reporter/photographer, earning many State awards and 5 National Awards for writing and photography from the Arkansas and National Press Women Assoc. and the Arkansas Press Assoc.

Gloria continued to be active in civic affairs and served on the Board for the Scenic Hwy 12 Water District. She was also a member of the Friends of the Hobbs State Park and became a Certified Master Naturalist. She also served as President of the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of Thrivent Financial.

She was an active member of Bland Chapel United Methodist Church, served as a Liturgist, sang in the choir, and served on several committees as a volunteer.

Gloria learned to play the piano at a young age. She always had a piano in her home and spent many hours sitting at the keyboard playing all the classics that she learned as a child. It brought great joy to her life.

Over the years she has made many friends. She was very sociable. She thought the world of all of them.

She is survived by her children: Joseph Michael Amorelli and wife Karen of Culver City,

Paul Edward Amorelli of Sun City West, AZ. and daughter: Theresa Maria Amorelli Beasley of Rogers, AR.

She also has eight fantastic grandchildren: Marni Garcia, John Amorelli, Megan Montemayor, Michelle Green, Scott Amorelli Jeremy Hopper, Justin Hopper, Kristin Pennington and twelve wonderful great-grandchildren.
