Obituary

Grace Louise Neil, 95, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on August 27, 2023, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Born on May 26th, 1928, in Springtown, Arkansas, Grace was the cherished daughter of Charley "Jack" and Pearl Sitton Straight. Her life's journey was defined by unwavering dedication to family, an enduring faith, and a multitude of passions that enriched the lives of all fortunate enough to cross her path.

A woman of profound faith, Grace was a devoted member of Cross Church (formerly First Baptist Church) in Springdale since the 1950s. Her love for the Lord was evident in her actions and interactions. She found solace in her faith, and it fueled her vibrant spirit. Grace's zest for life found expression in diverse pursuits—gardening, culinary arts, crocheting, sewing, and painting—each a testament to her creativity and commitment.

Her role as a devoted daughter, wife, grandmother, and friend endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She held her grandkids and great-grandkids in a special place in her heart and approached each day with an unwavering intention to serve those around her. The depth of her love and compassion resonated through her interactions, creating a lasting impact on those who crossed her path.

Grace's remarkable journey included a loving partnership of 73 years with her husband, Clyde Neil, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her parents, her granddaughter Sarah Ross, sister Dorothy Tabor, and brother Frank Straight.

Left to carry forth her legacy are her son, Mark Neil, and his wife, Jaquita, of Springdale, Arkansas, along with her daughter, Vicki Ross, and her husband, Randy, of Cave Springs, Arkansas. Her beloved granddaughter, Jessie Bishop, and her husband, Jesse, of Springdale, Arkansas, as well as grandson, Joshua Neil, and his wife, Jordan, of Rogers, Arkansas, continue to uphold her memory. The younger generation includes great-grandson Ryder Bishop and great-granddaughter Kennedy Grace Bishop, both of Springdale, Arkansas. Further extending her legacy are her brother, Jack Straight, and his wife, Linda, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, alongside her sisters, Betty Howard of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Doris Perry of Gentry, Arkansas. Grace's compassionate influence further echoes through numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were profoundly impacted by her presence.
