Harold "Ted" Pelton, age 81 of Springdale, passed away August 4, 2013. Ted was born May 8, 1932 in Little Rock, AR. to parents Harold Pelton Sr. and Ouida Thurman Pelton. As a young man, Ted served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for many years also in the construction industry. Ted was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Springdale and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and reading. Ted is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Helen of the home; son, Tim Pelton and wife Billie of Rogers; daughter, Cindi Walker and husband Robert of Crowder, OK.; stepchildren, Terry Altschaffl of Elliott, IA. and Pamela Gray of Plattsmouth, NE.; sister, Frances O. Pelton of Springdale, AR.; grandchildren, Emily Walker, Misty Velez, Laurie Biggs, Mark Altschaffl and 6 great grandchildren. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn, Springdale, AR. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers.
