Henry Samuel Burden Jr. passed away on July 5, 2026, in Rogers, Arkansas, at the age of 66. Born on April 1, 1960, in Alton, Illinois, Henry was affectionately known by both friends and family as "Sam."

As a young man, Sam answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army. He resided in California, and then later moved to Arkansas; Arkansas remained his home for the past fifty years. Sam applied himself to a career that spanned several professions, all rooted in hard work and a hands-on approach. He dedicated many years to Superior Automotive Group in Rogers, where he refinished car rims. His later years were spent truck driving, most recently working for Garrett Excavating. In his spare time, Sam loved nothing more than enjoying an afternoon fishing on Beaver Lake. His family will remember him for having a good sense of humor, and he will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

Sam was the beloved husband of Patricia ("Patti") Burden, with whom he shared 30 years of devoted marriage. He is also survived by his children, Henry Samuel Burden III, John Burden, and Anita Burden; step-children, Josh Roe (Angie); and siblings, George Burden, Rick Burden, Kathy Welch, and Rose Burden; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Samuel Burden and Mary Doller.
