Hugh "Dalton" Sanford, age 73 of Gentry passed at Springdale after a lengthy illness. Dalton was born March 12, 1937 at Center, Texas to parents Hugh Bryant Sanford and Madge Summers Sanford. He grew up in Arkansas and later moved to Oregon. On June 23, 1957, Dalton was united in marriage to Luella Jean French at Pendleton, Oregon. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage. In 1962, the family moved to Northwest Arkansas where Dalton worked many years in cabinet sales. Dalton was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Odessa Brinegar and one granddaughter, Missy Stanfield. He is survived by his wife, Luella Sanford of Gentry; son, Reg Sanford and wife Mary Beth of Greenville, South Carolina; daughters, Tammy Shelley of Gentry, Debbie Brazil and husband Tom of Colcord, Oklahoma, Vicki Howard of Ashville, North Carolina, Tonya Wineland and husband Joel of San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
