James "Jay" Churchwell, passed away August 18, 2019.Jay was born on August 31, 1917 in Carlisle, Arkansas to parents Eddie and Minnie Shelton Churchwell.He was a World War II veteran and proud of his service in the United States Army.Jay was united in marriage to Norma and they enjoyed many happy years of marriage.He was always known to make friends easily and for his no problem personality.Jay will be greatly missed.He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma in 2010; parents; six sisters and one brother.Jay is survived by daughter, Diane Gray and husband Ed of Jay, Oklahoma; son, Mike Churchwell and wife Karen of Gravette; daughter, Patti Springs and husband Richard of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Rose Felton and Betty Colclasure; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
