James (Jim) Edward Fugate, 85 of Decatur, Arkansas and formally of Orangeville, Michigan passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

Jim was born March 7, 1936 in Vest, Kentucky to the late Alex Fugate and Mollie Hayes Fugate. Jim is survived by brothers, Alex (Bud) Fugate, Bill Fugate, Charles Fugate (Marilyn) Jerry Fugate (Sharion); 1 sister Herma Dehn, all of Michigan. One son, James Edward Fugate Jr. (Candy) of Michigan; 2 daughters, Kristy Huddleston (John), Marlene Fugate (Fred) both of Arkansas; grandchildren Jordan McFarlane, Ashley Miller: Stephanie Gibson; Erik Freeman; Jennifer Sibley; Dakota Fugate; and Dylan Fugate; 10 great-grandchildren, Laney, Taylor, Madelyn, Jack, Stephen, Lillian, Gavin, Kyle, Ethan, Dylan; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Jim enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family, the fellowship of church, and dinnertime.

His former wife Alice Fugate, his parents, daughter Sandra Winn, and granddaughter Rachel Freeman; brothers James (Rusty), Elden, Roosevelt, and Herman; sisters Annette, Ada, and Margaret precede Jim in death.

Graveside services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell, MI.
