James Edward "Eddie" Groblebe, age 81 of Gravette, passed away December 22, 2012. Eddie was born April 6, 1931 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to parents William Harvey Groblebe and Edna Melinda Huffman Groblebe. He was a 1949 graduate of Rogers High School and earned a scholarship to Arkansas State University where he received degrees in Business and Music. Eddie worked for many years in the area of Beaver Shores and Bella Vista, where he was active as a Director of Recreation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in the outdoors. Eddie was also a member of the Rogers First United Methodist Church. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William J. Groblebe and sisters, Alma Kappen and Dorothy Groblebe. He is survived by his sister, Doris O'Connor and husband Duane of Eureka Springs; nephews, Richard Kappen of Rogers and Douglas O'Connor of Rogers and nieces, Barbara Mercer of La Mirada, California and Diane Weems of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel , 3800 West Walnut, Rogers.
