James "Jim" Lane, 79, of Lowell, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on July 29, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Cecil and Betty Cathey Lane. Jim grew up in the Little Rock and Hot Springs areas before relocating to Fort Smith where he met his loving wife, Carolyn "Sue" McGarrah.  They moved to Northwest Arkansas to raise their family. Mr. Lane served in the United States Army Reserve until he began ministry of over 30 years as an evangelist. He loved fishing, spending time in nature, and sharing his faith with others.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Sue Lane, of Lowell, Arkansas; son, Tim Lane and his wife Catherine of Garfield, Arkansas; daughter, Carla Key, of Lowell, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jeremy Key, of Rogers, Arkansas, Bryant Lane and his wife, Jessica of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Cara Dumea and her husband, Daniel of Romania, Brittany Wheeler and husband, Matt of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Alex and Athena Lane, Aiden, Lincoln, and Luke Wheeler, Sharon, Sunamita, and Joseph Dumea.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas. Officiated by Brother Tony Roberts. Interment will follow at Frisco Springs Cemetery in Lowell, Arkansas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
