Janice Goates, 49, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville. Janice was a Christian and a homemaker who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by both parents, Melvin Stacy and Dorthey (Bowman) Stacy; one sister, Sue Goates; four brothers, Jimmy, Curtis, Garry, and Robert Stacy. Janice is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Goates of the home in Decatur; two children, Phillip Stacy of Bella Vista; Kimberly Brooks of Decatur; one step-son, Ronnie Goates of Ozark; one step-daughter, Sharon Baltazar and husband Rod of Alamogordo, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Vanessa, Darrin, Samantha, Trevor, Brett, Ashley, and Nevaeh; two step-grandchildren, Nyah and Derick; one sister, Linda Denny and husband Dean of Colcord, OK; four brothers, Darrell Stacy and wife Cindy of Decatur; Ricky Stacy and wife Michelle of Decatur; Eric Stacy and wife Marcell of Pea Ridge; and Randy Stacy of Fayetteville; a host of nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends. Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Benton County Memorial Park's Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with Reverend Chuck Bengtson officiating.
