Jerry Horace Daniel, 67, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Rogers. He was born October 31, 1958, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to Horace S. Daniel, Jr. and Phyllis Ann (Sumpter) Daniel. On October 28, 1981 in Fort Carson, Colorado, he was married to Deborah Jane Stevens. Jerry served in The United States Army from August 21, 1978 to March 31, 1987. Jerry had been a member of VFW Post 100. Due to his background in administration, Jerry was instrumental in helping veterans obtain their proper benefits. After his departure from The United States Army and a short stint as a restaurant manager in Huntsville, Alabama, Jerry and his family moved to Rogers in October 1988. In May 1990, he was licensed as a Southern Baptist minister at Lakeside Baptist Church. Jerry worked for several companies in Northwest Arkansas including Tyson, Wal-Mart, Foam Molding and several restaurants. His hobbies included genealogy, reading and crafts. In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by his twin brother, Larry James Daniel.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Deborah Jane Daniel of Rogers; his children: Mary Elizabeth Daniel and Timothy Aaron Stephen Daniel both of Rogers; his mother, Phyllis Ann Daniel of Longlane, Missouri; his brother, Dewayne Allen Daniel of Springfield, Missouri; his sister, Deborah Ann Daniel (Kees) Poelma of Longlane, Missouri; aunt, Carolyn Sue (Riley Eugene) Anderson of Miami, Oklahoma; niece, Phylicia (Jake) Walker of Rogersville, Missouri; nephews: Jake Poelma of Republic, Missouri and Paul (Rebecca) Poelma of Hermitage, Missouri and many cousins.
Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at First Baptist Church-Bentonville with Pastor Chris Dixon officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. The family request donations be made in Jerry's memory to First Baptist Church-Bentonville youth scholarships.
