Jerry Allen Harris, age 54 of Winslow, Arkansas, passed away July 12, 2011. Jerry was born on June 15, 1957 at Monett, Missouri to parents Jack Clarence Harris and Elsie Irene Shrum Harris. He grew up in the area of Northwest Arkansas, graduating from Rogers High School in 1975. Jerry was united in marriage to Carol Ogden on July 22, 1978 at Rogers, Arkansas. They enjoyed many happy years together. During recent years he worked as a security guard at the Fayetteville Auto Park. Jerry was also a Scoutmaster, with Troop 9 in Lowell and enjoyed his family. Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Abie and Mary Shrum. He is survived by his wife, Carol Harris of the home; parents, Jack and Irene Harris of Lowell; two sons, Joe Harris of Winslow and Aaron Harris of Springdale; two brothers, Eddie Harris of Rogers and Jackie Harris and wife Jenny of Rogers, Arkansas; two sisters, Vickie Miller and husband Jeff of Springdale, Arkansas and Linda Mars and husband Steve of Lowell, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Services are set for Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. at the Calvary Baptist Church of Fayetteville, 1410 N. Porter, Fayetteville. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W. Sunset Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
