Jim Shook was born Dec. 16, 1939, to Irene and Ralph Shook from Cave Springs, Ark. Jim received his Ph.D. in Genetics and Statistics from the University of Missouri and his M.S. and B.S. from the University of Arkansas. He spent the last 40 years involved in the pharmaceutical industry. Survivors include his son, Dan Shook of Los Angeles; his daughter, Laurie Shook Patzer of San Francisco and her husband Craig; and granddaughter Ella. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Janice Carolyn Finn Shook. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.
