John Edmund Brown, age 64 of Rogers, passed away March 4, 2010 at Springdale, Arkansas. John was born to parents Ben Brown Jr. and Margaret Weaver Brown at Dumas, Arkansas. He grew up in the Dumas area and married Virginia Troy Brand of Harrison. As a young man, John joined the United States Coast Guard. He served in the Coast Guard for 23 years, achieving the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. During that time, the family enjoyed many travels and different duty stations. John and Virginia "Troy" moved back to Arkansas after his retirement spending the last 8 years in the Harrison and Rogers areas. John was a member of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Association and the NW Arkansas Wood Carver Club. John was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Margaret. He is survived by his wife, Virginia "Troy" Brown of Rogers; daughter, Cyndi Johnson and husband Steve of East Wenatchee, Washington; son, Stephan Brown and wife Dawn of Syracuse, New York and granddaughters, Jessica and Erica Johnson of East Wenatchee, Washington.
