Goble

John Goble passed away December 16, 2022. He was born March 31, 1943 in Houston, Texas to parents Paul and Georgia Goble. John served in the US Navy during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis as a UDT (frogman) and radio operator. He participated in the 1961 JFK inauguration where he saw JFK, his wife Jacqueline and the poet Robert Frost. John also participated in the Apollo moonship recovery fleet. He attended the University of Maryland and also the University of Arkansas. John was an accomplished Electrical Engineer and managed the maintenance department at Emerson Electric of Rogers, Arkansas. He had an unwavering dedication to his work and earned a black belt in Taekwondo and later enjoyed instructing martial arts. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and camping. He looked forward to daily reading the word of God and attending his weekly men's bible study group. John loved electronics, computers, astronomy and was an avid Razorback fan. He was a master of trivial pursuit and dearly loved family games. John was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Irene Keen and father, Paul Goble, many in-laws, a great niece, family, friends, co-workers and his loyal 4 legged companion, Chonji. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Gwen Goble; daughter, Melody Bull; grandsons, John Adam Bull, Bradley Bull and a host of extended relatives and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive guests from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. that morning at the funeral home. Graveside Services with full military honors will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park of Rogers.
