John Charles Phillips, age 50 of Canehill, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 in Willard Walker Hospice Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. John was born November 3, 1965 in Rogers, AR to Charles Whitworth and Doris Divin Williams and was later adopted by William Phillips who preceded him in death as well as a grandson, Tanner Smith. He was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Martin on May 30, 2014. John was an amazing man who greatly enjoyed his family, working as a trucker, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; 4 children, Sherry Godeaux, Ashley Phillips, Riley Phillips, Shelbi Phillips; 3 step children, Kurtis Hamilton, Allie Hamilton and Dreyton Hamilton; one brother, Bill Phillips; two sisters, Cathy Slussler and Pam Palasty and one granddaughter Tynlea Smith.
