Joyce Marie Hansen, 96, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her recliner on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was born on May 14, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Axel and Lilly Engstrom. On September 3, 1948 she married Leon "Lee" C. Hansen. Joyce and Lee made Overland Park, Kansas their home for 35 years. They were very active members of Atonement Lutheran Church in Overland Park. In 1989, they moved to Bella Vista where they became active members of the United Lutheran Church. In her free time Joyce enjoyed gardening, golfing, tennis, Bocce Ball, and volunteering her time to help others. She was an avid walker who enjoyed playing Bridge along with many other card games. Joyce valued her time with family and loved their yearly trips to Estes Park, Colorado. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Lee Hansen who passed away in 2016, and her sister, Betty Anderson.

Survivors include, David Hansen and his wife, Kathleen of Claremore, Oklahoma, Doug Hansen and his wife, Jan of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Dennis Hansen and his wife, Kathrine of Loveland, Colorado, and Rick Hansen and his wife, Vicki of Natural Dam, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Engstrom of Littleton, Colorado, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Rd, Bella Vista, AR 72715. Memorials may be made to United Lutheran Church or Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, AR 72712. The family found the support and care received from Circle of Life invaluable.
