Juanita "Anita" Jane Harris, 76, of Garfield, Arkansas passed away at home Thursday, June 8, 2023. Anita was born October 16, 1946 to the late Thomas and Juanita Martin Squire in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While working at the Mercantile Bank of Kansas City, Missouri, Anita met Thomas Harris an Auditor for the Federal reserve bank. They fell in love and were married April 4, 1975 in Kansas City. In 1984 Anita and Thomas moved to Northwest Arkansas with their two daughters. Mrs. Harris loved cooking and was known for her fried chicken. She enjoyed listening to her records, crocheting, and reading old mystery novels. Above all, her grandchildren were her world, you would often see her laughing and smiling while spending time with them. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harris of thirty-five years, and brother Herb Squire.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Tammy and husband Brandon Jones, Melynda Harris; grandchildren, Bradley Harris-Young, Taylor Young, Adrian Jones, Mikalah Young, Dakota Jones, Haley Jones, Morgan Camp, Tom Camp, Larry Camp, Robert Camp; great grandchildren, Cordell Thompson, Rylynn Thompson, Athena Wynne; two brothers, David and Martin Squire; sister, Pam Squire.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the family residence, 15524 High Place, Garfield, Arkansas, 72732.
