Julia 'Frances' Dillard, 87, of Bentonville, Ar. passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Born on July 11, 1936 to the late Robert Benjamin Hooker and Audry Adeline Harrell in Haskell, Tx. Frances is preceded in death by her brothers, William "Buck" Hooker, Donald Wayne Hooker, Johnnie Jefferson Hooker, Raymond "Mercy Mercy" Lewis Hooker, Robert Jr. Hooker; and sisters, Nellie Hooker and Martha Ann Hough.
Frances completed her cosmetology license at Josephine Hodge Beauty School in Houston, Tx in 1966. She worked for Foley's Beauty Salon for many years then worked for J.C. Penney's salon where she retired in 2002 after 23 years. After retiring Frances continue to work for the next 15 years providing pedicures to shut-ins, in the Northwest Arkansas area.
Frances loved to dance, travel and spend time with her family. She was a member of the 59'ers in Washington County. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Sit and sew was her all time favorite time with the ladies at Country House Quilting in Pea Ridge, Ar.
Frances lived at The Greenhouse Cottages of NWA for the past year and half. Our family will be forever grateful for the care she received while in their care from the administration, nursing and caring staff.
She is survived by her children, Johnny Ray Dillard of Rogers, Ar, Willis Edward Dillard, Jr. (Naomi) of Ft. Worth, Tx, Viola Francine Fry (Gary) of Bella Vista, Ar.; grandchildren, Laura Lanell Dillard, Edward Ray Dillard (Jennifer), Joseph Michael Dillard ( Chelsea), Shannon Stephenson (Misty); and great grandchildren, Alejandro Garcia Patino III, Elaina Cardiel (Edgar), Tristen Stephenson, Camden Stephenson, Elijah Patino, Leah Nicole Dillard, Savannah Michelle Dillard, Vyntage Jae Evans,
Ethan Patino, Evan Patino and Kohen Wolfe Dillard.
Celebration of a Life for Frances will be held at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers, AR. 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers, Ar., Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 1:30 pm.
