Julia "Avalon" Tanksley, age 86 of Rogers, passed away December 11, 2021. Avalon was born March 18, 1935 in Green Forrest, Arkansas to parents, Henry R. Gibbs and Thelma Carter Gibbs. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and reading. Avalon also worked for many years as a realtor and enjoyed the work. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill Tanksley. Avalon is survived by her sons, Paul Tanksley of Rogers and Curtis Tanksley and wife Dena Kae of Bentonville; grandchildren, Isaac Tanksley and Maddison Frank, both of Rogers and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services are set for Noon, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 West Walnut, Rogers. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
