Karen Kay Dunham, a lifelong resident of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Kay was born on August 23, 1948, to Hugh Frederick "Buster" Boldman and Emma Evelyn Ocheltree Boldman. In 1965, she married Robert Glenn Dunham. Together, they spent over 50 years building a busy and full life in their mutual hometown, where Kay truly embraced her role as the ultimate "boy mom." Whether she was cheering from the sidelines or navigating the chaos of raising three sons with her signature nerves of steel, she was always there for her family.
A talented entrepreneur, Kay earned her cosmetology license and was the owner and operator of New Image Salon. She ran the business until her retirement in November 2021, fostering a community where her colleagues and customers became a second family.
In her free time, Kay enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling, and dancing. She was a talented painter and was known for her scratch-made baking. Her grandchildren will always hold dear the memories of baking by her side and having her in the audience for all of their special events.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her brother, Howard Lee "Bud" Boldman; and her sister, Sandra Shaffner.
She is survived by her three sons: Robert (Brenda C.) of Rogers, William (Brenda L.) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Brandon of Rogers; five grandchildren, Aaron Cheyne (Allison), Amber Dunham Carter (Nick), Ashlyn Dunham Heneger (Sam) Devin Dunham, and Alex Dunham; brother, Gene Boldman; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Amelia, and Livia.
Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. March 21, 2026 at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service.
