Kenneth Sheppard, age 72, a resident of Rogers, Arkansas for the last 7 years and formerly of Los Angeles, California, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 in Rogers. Kenneth was born in Wichita, Kansas on December 6, 1938 to Chester, Sr. and Dama (Stigers) Sheppard. He married Sona (Meiklejohn) Sheppard in 1959 in El Monte, California and they were married for over 51 years before his death. Kenneth received an honorable discharge for his service in the United States Navy and worked as a Quality Engineer for various Aero Space industries in California. Kenneth was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bridge, reading, spending time with his family and he will be missed very much. Preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Chester Sheppard, Jr.; one sister, Shirley Reagan; Kenneth is survived by his wife Sona Sheppard of the home in Rogers, Arkansas; one son, Daniel Sheppard of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Lynn Silverman of Oregon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Memorial services will be private with inurnment in Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
