Obituary

Kimberly Marie Musico, of Garfield, Arkansas, passed away on August 12, 2026.

Kimberly was sunshine on cloudy days—a woman with a contagious smile, a laugh that could fill an entire room, a spunky and sassy spirit, and an even bigger heart.

Kimberly was the kind of person who made the world brighter simply by being in it. She was sunshine on cloudy days—a woman with a contagious smile, a laugh that could fill an entire room, a spunky and sassy spirit, and an even bigger heart. Her laughter was unmistakable and infectious, the kind that made everyone around her smile. She was the most giving person, always ready to help anyone in need. At the drop of a hat, she would pick up the phone, jump in the car, and run to help someone who needed her. That was simply who Kim was.

Kimberly worked for the United States Postal Service in Garfield, Arkansas, where she dedicated many years of her life before retiring just this past year. But long before retirement, Kimberly had already lived a life full of adventure. In her younger years, she was a true vagabond, traveling the world in her van with her big speakers and embracing life with a wild, free spirit. She loved sharing stories of those young adventures, and her stories were as colorful and unforgettable as she was.

More than anything, Kimberly loved her babies. Her grandchildren were her world, and she treasured every moment with Jonathan, Jasper, and Jolene. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved “Titi’s babies”—Kai, Cruz, Jon, Jasper, and Jolene. Her love for them was fierce, unconditional, and endless.

Kimberly was a fighter. She was strong-willed, determined, and never one to give up. She carried that strength throughout her life and passed that lesson on to everyone she loved. She always reminded her family: “Never give up. Ever.”

She was compassionate, kind, charismatic, and full of life. She had a way of making people feel loved, cared for, and never alone. Her presence was larger than life, and her absence will leave a space that can never truly be filled.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Michael Musico, and her father, Jack Hillyer.

She is survived by her loving mother, Beverly Hillyer; her beloved daughter, Brianna Marie Higgins; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Michal Higgins, Jasper James Michael Higgins, and Jolene Marie Higgins; her beloved “Titi’s babies,” Kai and Cruz; her brothers and sisters; and her many beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind countless family members and friends whose lives were touched by her love, laughter, strength, and generosity.

Kimberly’s life was a reminder to live boldly, love fiercely, help others whenever you can, and never give up.

Though our hearts are broken, we will carry her with us—in every laugh, every adventure, every act of kindness, and every cloudy day she somehow manages to brighten.

Kim, you will always be our sunshine. We love you, and we will never forget you.
