Larry "Buck" Cloer, age 67 of Bentonville, passed away, Monday, December 23, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. Buck was born in Benton County, Arkansas on January 1, 1946 to Alvis and Estelle (Campbell) Cloer. Buck served his country in the United State Army National guard and retired from the guard with an honorable discharge. On March 14, 1995 he married Brenda Landers in Huntsville, Arkansas and they were married for 18 years. He was a member of the Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church in Rogers where he enjoyed being involved with the Holy Grounds Coffee Club. Buck worked as a supervisor for the Benton County Road Department for many years and enjoyed helping at the New Home Church in Bentonville. Buck was an outdoorsman and loved horses, fishing, running his hunting dogs, and being with his family. Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jerry Williams; Buck is survived by his wife Brenda of the home; one son, Beau Cloer of Rogers; one step son, Todd Stewart of Rogers; one sister, Polly Brewer of Bentonville; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton County Memorial Park (3800 West Walnut) in Rogers. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church (203 Promenade Boulevard) in Rogers with Reverend Shane D. Pair officiating. Interment will follow at Phillips Cemetery on Phillips Cemetery Road near Cave Springs with military honors.
