Mr. Larry Glen Shields, age 74, of Siolam Springs, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Siolam Springs Nursing and Rehab. He was born September 15, 1940, in Wichita Kansas, to Henry and Thelma Rice Shields. He was a member of New Life Church in Siolam Springs. Mr. Shields loved to collect knives and to buy, fix and sale cars. Mr, Shields was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Shields is survived by his wife Joan Shields of Siolam Springs, sons, Clinton Welch of Siolam Springs, Terry Shields of Texas, David Waters of Montana and Tommy Shields of Colorado, daughters, Danielle Wages of Siolam Springs, and Teresa Zaragoza of Arkansas, brother, Archie Shields of Kansas, sisters, Fredia of Kansas, Kay English of Winslow, Arkansas, Diana Coffman of New Mexico, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Memorial service will be held 1:00pm, Friday, June 26, 2015, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.
