LaVernon Leroy Weaver, 93, passed away November 7, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born in South English, Iowa, July 12, 1928, to Galen and Dorothy Weaver.
He graduated from Keota High School and was a 1950 graduate of the University of Iowa. He joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed for two years in Japan and ended his tour of duty at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station in Oak Harbor, Washington.
He was married to Betty Henry November 2, 1953. To this union was born Denise Ann Weaver, Larry dale Weaver (wife Carolyn) and Ronald Jay Weaver.
He worked at John Morrell and Company, Ottumwa, Iowa as Manager of the Industrial Engineering department, Berkley and Company in Spirit Lake, Iowa as Engineering and Division Manager, and for a short time, at Foam Molding in Rogers.
He was a founding member and past President of American Institute of Industrial Engineers (AIIE) Sioux Region Chapter, was a member of the Rotary Club in Sprit Lake, Iowa and was a Spirit Lake City Councilman.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Betty, his children, sisters, Lucille Epperly (husband Dean) and Laurille Chalupa, sister-in-law Margaret Weaver and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lowell Weaver, sisters, Darlene Nelson and Ilene Irons, an infant sister and brothers-in-law Marvin Nelson and Bob Chalupa.
He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rogers. His greatest interest were his family, camping, golfing, playing cards, and woodworking.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Sandra Wanasek and Ronny Nowell officiating. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Arkansas.
