Obituary

Lester Lee Jackson, 67, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Washington Regional Medical Center. Born on March 18, 1957, in Springdale, Arkansas, to Melvin and Jessie Hancock Jackson, Lester was known for his passion for cars and his generous spirit.

Lester's love for automobiles led him to a fulfilling career, ranging from working with a wrecker service to becoming an accomplished automotive technician. He dedicated many years to the pit crew at Thunder Valley Speedway in Fayetteville before its closure. Reviving and beautifying cars was not just his job, but his joy.

Known for his kindness, Lester was always ready to lend a helping hand. He often took his mother and Aunt Opal to enjoy various bluegrass bands, creating cherished memories. Family time was precious to Lester, whether it was fishing at the river for catfish, aiming to beat his personal best, or simply enjoying each other's company.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Jessie Jackson; his brother, Joe Jackson; and his sister, Janice White.

He is survived by his five children: Jason Jackson, Justin Jackson, Brandi Acuff, Toni Glasscock, and Jimmy Glasscock; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his siblings: John Jackson, Naomi Jackson, and Billy Jackson. He will be dearly missed by many beloved family members and friends.
