Linda Leona Maddux, 85, passed away June 18, 2024, in Rogers, Arkansas.  She was born on November 19, 1938, to the late Dorothy Lucille Murphy in Toledo, Ohio.  Linda graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1957.  From there, she went to nursing school and became an LPN.  She worked as a surgical nurse in Columbus at Children's Hospital.  After she moved back to Toledo in 1974,  she worked at Flower Hospital in Sylvania until her retirement in 2004.  Linda enjoyed tent camping with her nursing friends, daughter, and eventually grandchildren at Pinery in Canada.  Whether reading a book on the beach or even in the driveway, she loved sitting in the sun.  Linda loved travelling, roller coasters, chocolate banana malts, giraffes, and most of all her daughter and grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father, John Cuyler Murphy, and brother, William (Bill) Ransom.

She is survived by her daughter, April Lindner and son-in-law Jason of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren Hope (Hunter) Lindner Satterfield, Hannah Lindner, Cuyler Lindner, and Caleb Lindner; brother Harold "Jim" Ransom; and numerous other family members and friends.
