With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Jean Oakes Palmore who left this world on August 12, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas. Linda was born on November 29, 1949, in Bentonville, Arkansas to Neal and Blanche (Crowe) Oakes.
Linda was born and raised in Bentonville, and was a proud graduate of Bentonville High School, Class of 1968. She married Wilbur Wright in 1968 and had four wonderful children. Linda was a devoted mother to Ricky, Terry, Timmy, and Kimberly.
Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bentonville. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, especially Alan Jackson and Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed watching wrestling matches and cheering on her son. She loved to travel across the country and see new places. In her later years, Linda found a new home at the Blossoms at Rogers, where she lived for over a decade. She thrived as an active member of the community, participating in nursing home activities and embracing the camaraderie and support found among friends.
She is survived by her loving family: children, Ricky Wright (Susan), Terry Wright (Andrea), Timmy Wright (Carol), and Kimberly Wright; cousin, Jackie Oakes Lopatofsky; seven grandchildren, Dorothy Wright, Michael Wright, Nicole Wright Allen, Grayce Wright Bowman, Jacob Wright, Tyler Keeter, and Anthony Keeter; and five great-grandchildren, Bentley Allen, Bryce Allen, Braven Allen, Raylan Allen, Lainey Allen, and Liam Hallam.
