Lonnie Edward McDurmond left this Earthly world on January 4, 2018, he was born on March 22, 1960 to William McDurmond and Lorretta Riley in Beaumont, Texas. He served in the Army from April 21, 1977 to April 20, 1980 and then again from May 14, 1985 to August 6, 1992. While in the Army he was in the Special Forcers and was a drill sergeant. He has been all over the world while in the Army, so of the places he was stationed were Germany and Panama. After his service in the Army, he had an advertising business and after retiring from work, his hobbies included coin collecting, photography, family and animals were his friend. He was the Commander of the V.F.W Post 3031 for 6 years. He is preceded in death by his first love Bridgett McDurmond, his son Timothy McDurmond, both of his parents and his granddaughter Olivia Harris. He is survived by his step-mom Margaret McDurmond, his last love Marcia McDurmond, one son Marcus (Tracy) Crump of Morrilton, two daughters Consuella (Andy) Harris and Misty (Doug Willhite) Hale of Ft. Smith. Nine grandchildren Denver Merryman of Waldron, Stephanie Merryman of Waldron, Amber (Charlie) Crain of Morrilton, Katie King of Ft. Smith, Joseph Crump of Morrilton, Noah Crump of Morrilton, Justin Harris of Plumerville, Taylor Pottorff of Ft. Smith, Kindall Ming of Alma. Two great grandchildren Xander Crain and MaKenna Crain of Morrilton. Three brothers Kenneth McDurmond of Corpus Christi, TX, Tony McDurmond of Quitman, MS, Jonathan (Hellen) Rasbury of Berryville, AR. Two sisters Lisa Pitre of Houma, LA and Twania (Rick) Fielding of Medon, TN. He has numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. His hobbies were coin collecting, photography especially of animals, guns, and music albums from the past. He loved entertaining family and friends. After the military his goal was to help soldiers and their families during service. He loved spoiling his wife and family. Lonnie enjoyed outdoor sports and hanging out at the pool with family.
