Obituary

Lowell "Loyd" Hackney, age 69 of Rogers, passed away March 29, 2014. Loyd was born March 30, 1944 in Kennett, Missouri to parents Forrest and Mamie Hackney. As a young man, Loyd served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. In more recent years, Loyd worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed being with family and friends and also boating and fishing. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl and Doyle Hackney and one granddaughter, Kristine Bankson. He is survived by his significant other, Sue Hackney; one son, Jimmy Hackney of Cordell, Oklahoma; daughters, Kimberly Stamps of Rogers and Katy Lamport of Peculiar, Missouri; step daughter, Tina Waugh of Cassville, Missouri; step son, Troy Lupica of Seligman, Missouri; Sisters, Delphia Secrest, Joyce Dunham, Barbara Pierson, Phyllis Hogan, Faye Gray and Shirley Clark; grandchildren, Dillon Carter of Rogers, Joey Bankson of Peculiar, Misouri, Trinity, Kameron and Summer Lamport of Peculiar, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Services are set for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers. Memorial 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 1st, 2014
