Marion Paul Clairday, age 77 of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on April 10, 1946 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late Ervin Valentine Clairday and Opal Ray Clairday. On April 15, 1964, he married the late Linda Hearn Clairday in Big Springs, Texas. They were residents of Pixley, California until 1987 when they moved to Siloam Springs. Marion was a self-employed truck driver until he retired in 2016. He was known and described as a gentle giant who loved fishing. Marion loved the Lord and his family very much. He was preceded in death by one son; Jessie Clairday of Tyler, Texas; four brothers, Charles Clairday of Pixley, California, Dolin Clairday of Truman, Arkansas, Melvin Clairday of Bentonville and Larry Clairday of Yuma, Arizona along with one sister, Alta Becker of Hardy, Arkansas.
He is survived by four sons; James Clairday of Siloam Springs; Tony Clairday of Benson, Arizona, Marion Paul Clairday Jr., of Amarillo, Texas and David Clairday of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Susan Sumner of Siloam Springs. One Grandson, Marcus Clairday of Irving, Texas and two granddaughters; Melissa Lee of Harrison and Vanessa Lee of Springdale, Arkansas along with a host of friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Old Union Cemetery in Cincinnati, Arkansas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home, (479) 636-2412.
