Marissa Marie Martinez 18, peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 25, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born March 31, 2001 in Edinburg, Texas but resided in Rogers, Arkansas. Marissa is the beloved daughter of Aida (Kevin) Ceballos and Ricardo (Nora) Martinez, and is a sister to Nathan (Kimberly) Martinez and Jason Rey (Taylor) Martinez. She is an aunt to her two nieces, Arianna Avery and Mya Annalise Martinez. She leaves behind many relatives who love and miss her dearly. Marissa was proceeded in death by her grandfather Jose "Papa Joe" Marinez. Marissa graduated from Rogers High School on May 2019. Her passion was music, art, make-up, but most importantly making memories with family and friends. She often talked about becoming a teacher then becoming a nurse and work with children who have cancer since she experienced this journey. She was not scared of crossing over to meet our Maker, and prepared all those who love her to move on and be happy. Her favorite quote is "She believed she could, so she did." Marissa, is greatly missed, but we have Faith in God's promise that we will see each other again. A private ceremony was held on November 26, 2019 to say it is not a good-bye but see you later. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to either Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest to the Oncology/Hematology Department or Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
