Marjorie Kjelland, age 88 of Bentonville, passed away April 18, 2010. Marjorie was born July 4, 1921 at Madison County, Iowa to parents Perry Benge and Evelene Lane Benge. She grew up in Iowa and was a 1941 graduate of Winterset High School. Marjorie was married November 22, 1945 to Lawrence Petersen, who preceded her in death in 1980. She later remarried to Tom Kjelland who also preceded her in death. Marjorie was a longtime employee and retired from the Firestone company. In retirement, she moved to the Northwest Arkansas area. Marjorie was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing organization. Marjorie was preceded in death, by her husbands, Lawrence and Tom; her parents and ten brothers and sisters; she is survived by two stepsons, Bruce Lester and wife Judy and Brian Lester and wife Carrie; brother, Eddie Benge and wife Daisy Dell of Winterset, Iowa; one step granddaughter, Jill; longtime friend Bob Stroeber of Kirksville, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends.
