Mrs. Martha Lou Smitherman Glasscock, age 77, of Taylor, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her home in Taylor, Arkansas. She was born June 15, 1939, in Stephens, Arkansas to Clayton and Ina Lucille Marlar Smitherman. Mrs. Glasscock was a member of Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor, she was saved and baptized at East Side Baptist Church in 1977. She taught Sunday School, ladies classes and teen classes, she loved to sing, garden, camping, playing farkle, reading her Bible which she did everyday, helping her patient's as a nurse but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, momma, mawmaw and grandma to her family.

Mrs. Glasscock was a retired LPN after 20 years which was all at the Highland Clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mrs. Glasscock was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Fred D. "Sonnie" Glasscock, sons, Gregg and James "Jim" Glasscock, brothers, Don and Ross Smitherman, sisters, Ann Sikes, Bertha Smitherman and Dana Smitherman, and a great-grandchild, Brayden Lane Russell.

Mrs. Glasscock is survived by her son, Richard and Ann Glasscock of Taylor, daughter, Jeanann and Mark Gray of Taylor, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Glasscock of Springhill Louisiana, brothers, Perry and wife Ernie Smitherman of Sims, Texas and Ronnie and wife Gayle Smitherman of Fort Worth, Texas. Sister-in-law's, Darlene Smitherman, Linda Smitherman and Martha Jean and husband Wilson Hunter, brother-in-law Glen and wife Esther Glasscock. Grandchildren, Ashlee Russell and husband Matt of Bentonville, Arkansas, Cindy Lou Glasscock of Taylor and Jessie Nations and husband Josh of Taylor. Step grandchildren, Tracey Miller of Bedford, Texas and Matt Miller and wife Tammy of Springhill, Louisiana. Great-Grandchildren, Skyler, Ty, Adrianna, Bentley, Alexis and Adalynn Russell all of Bentonville, Arkansas and Baby Russell on the way. Step Great-Grandchildren, Shelby Thompson of Sarepta, Louisiana and Cody Miller of Springhill, Louisiana and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice and Dr. Bob Massingill and staff for their care. A special thanks goes to William and Diantha Triplet and Robert and Frances Gildon for all the love and care they showed to the family.

Visitation for Mrs. Glasscock will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, August 26, 2016 at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor with Bro. Joesph Stacks and Bro. Josh Nations officiating.
