Obituary

Mary Lou Carpenter, 84, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home in Rogers. She was born September 12, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Alford Lewis King and Birdie Jackson Helm King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Tonya Lynette Carpenter; five brothers: Philip "Bill" (Virginia) King, Dean (JoAnn) Pitchford, Wesley Pitchford, Robert Lewis "Bob" King and Jimmie Lee (Judy) King; two sisters: Dorothy (Jack) Ford and Shirley (Dave) Bideler.

She is survived by her oldest daughter, Renee (Martin) Carpenter-Houde of Ontario, Canada; grandson, Andre Houde of Ontario, Canada; brother, Jerry (Linda) Allen King of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Arlene King and Wilma Pitchford both of Edmond, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 at Benton County Memorial Park, Rogers, Arkansas officiated by Pastor Jimmy Millikin. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the funeral home.
