Mary Margaret Detmering, age 90 of Rogers passed away July 6, 2011. Mary was born April 25, 1921 in Redfield, Kansas to parents Carl and Bessie Burt. She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Detmering on May 11, 1964 and they enjoyed many years of marriage. Mary worked as a cook for many yeas and enjoyed dancing, fishing and eating. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Detmering in 1987; her parents; three brothers, Virgil Burt, Charles Burt and Marion Burt and three sisters, Ruby Bates, Geraldine Gile and Florence Crouch. She is survived by her step son, Robert E. Detmering Jr. and stepdaughter Rebecca Jo Risetter; nieces and nephews, Sandra Hunt, Marion Sue Hagan, William and Kathy Gile, Carla and Darrell Parks, Larry and Pam Burt and Connie and Flint Goodrich ; 17 great nieces and nephews and countless more relatives and friends. Services are set for 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow. Visitation will be the morning of the service.
