Obituary

Mary Lou Sanders, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on June 21st, 2024. She was born October 31st, 1938, to the late Lester and Edith Beamer in Louisburg, Kansas. Her father worked for the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline, causing her family to move when she was in the seventh grade. This led to an encounter at a grocery store, where Mary Lou met John Sanders, who recently moved from Fritch, Texas, because his father also worked for the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline. Although their connection was immediate, it wasn't until two years later that they began dating. Shortly after high school, they were married, their first step towards starting a wonderful family. Mary Lou cherished her role as a homemaker, delighting in taking care of her loved ones. She was an exceptional cook, though modest about her talents.  She made wonderful desserts, homemade pie crusts, and blackberry cobblers (which her family still talks about today). Along with her time as a homemaker, Mary Lou also worked with Walmart for 10 years. Mary Lou had numerous passions. She loved water skiing and riding her Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Mary Lou also loved listening to Roy Rogers, and Elvis Presley. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society, a fitting group, given her love for the color red. Mary Lou held a special place in her heart for Kansas, symbolized by her admiration for sunflowers, which reflect the state's beauty. Known for her caring nature and strong Christian faith, Mary Lou's legacy of love, kindness, and faithfulness will be cherished by all who knew her.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, John Sanders, of the home; children, Kim Harper and Scott, of White Hall, Arkansas, Tammy Campbell and Kevin, of Rogers, Arkansas, and Bryan Sanders and Rita Nading, of Bentonville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Shannon Stowell, Ryan O'Connor and Jennifer, Laura Brown and Aaron, Aaron Campbell and Summer, Brandon Campbell and Meagan, Shawna Irven and Justin, Tasha Easterling and Jon, Stephanie Sanders, and Cody Sanders; great-grandchildren, Ayden Stowell, Ella O'Connor, Nora O'Connor, Ezra O'Connor, Abby Brown, Laney Brown, Finley Campbell, Sadie Campbell, Aidan Perkins, Macie Glaser, Hailey Campbell, Parker Campbell, Kylee Campbell, Presley White, Christohpher Irven, Kaylee Sanders, Daniel Sanders, Jaclyn Trammel, Addison Easterling, Baylor Easterling, Maddox Easterling, Tinsley Easterling, Ellie Easterling, and Oaklynn Easterling; and her sister, Leslie May Bailey and David, of Oklahoma.

Mary Lou Sanders will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love and warmth she brought into the lives of her family and friends.
