Mary Bernice Simmons, age 88, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away Friday, December 15th, 2017. Bernice was born on October 7th, 1929 in Clarita, Oklahoma to Thurman and Mary Ramay. She married the love of her life Oren Simmons in Bakersfield, California. She enjoyed being a wife and mother, and tending to her garden. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Farrell. She is survived by her children; Sharon Simmons of Rogers, Arkansas, Gail Simmons of Gentry, Arkansas, Brenda Harris of Carl Junction, Missouri, David Harris of Carl Junction, Missouri, Sonia Simmons of Grove, Oklahoma, and Terry King of Grove, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 19th at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma at 2:00pm under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.
