Mrs. Mary Lou Smith, age 77, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at her home in Rogers. She was born February 5, 1943, in Mountainburg, Arkansas to Oval Lee and Florence T Johnston Mather. Mrs. Smith was a member of Monte Ne Baptist Church, she loved gardening, flowers, her church, sewing and going on walks. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Carl and Paul Mather, sisters, Wanda Schubert, Wilma Harper, Betty Stettler, and infant sister, Alice Mather. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Gerald "Jerry" Smith, daughters, Kimberly Plavican , and Rhonda Tedford, brother, John Mather, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, special friend of 70 years, Sue Campbell, and numerous other friends and family members. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held 5:00 to 7:00pm, Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held 1:00pm, Friday, November 13, 2020 at Monte Ne Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery.
