IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mattix Benjamin
White
June 13, 2013 – April 13, 2025
Mattix Benjamin White, 11, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025. Mattix is the son of Megan Anderson and Brent White and was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on June 13th, 2013. Mattix was preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Megan, who he loved and missed deeply. We find comfort in knowing Mattix ran into her loving arms and that they are together once again.
Mattix was the only boy in his family with four sisters—who he absolutely adored and loved to make laugh. Mattix and his father, Brent, shared the most beautiful bond. Whether they were shooting hoops, telling jokes, playing video games, or just simply in each other's presence, the love between them was pure and deep. Brent was his hero and Mattix was so proud of his last name and loved being Canadian. In return, Mattix gave the kind of love only a child could give, whole, unconditional, and forever. Mattix's basketball season, coached by his dad, uncle, and grandpa recently came to an end after being undefeated. Mattix would get so excited when he scored and worked hard on the court but, even more noticeable was the way his face would light up when he saw his loved ones in the stands or looked at his dad after a big play. Mattix was also cherished by his friends at school, where he was known for his kindness and the way he could instantly brighten someone's day.
Mattix loved Fortnite, Sonic the Hedgehog, legos, goofing off with his family and friends, Lebron James, and sports. At such a young age, Mattix had figured out the most important things in life and you experienced that wisdom every time you were with him. He embraced his moments with joy, curiosity, kindness, and the best sense of humor. He loved his family and friends deeply, he was kind to everyone he met, and he had the biggest heart.
Mattix loved superheroes and to those who knew him, Mattix was a real-life superhero. He was funny, brave, strong, thoughtful, silly, and always looking out for the people around him. Mattix's super power was his gift for making others smile and the world was better simply because he was in it. Even in his final moments, Mattix found a way to be a hero. Through the selfless gift of organ donation, he saved the lives of other children—becoming a true superhero in every sense of the word. His courage and compassion will live on in the hearts of those he helped, and in the lives of all who knew him.
Mattix is loved and missed by his father, Brent White, step-mother Katie White, his sisters, Hadley, Hazel, and Allie White and Raygen Hinton, his grandparents, Lailani Anderson and her partner Randy Jackson, Tracey White, Richard White, Patricia White, Shannon and Larry Saindon, his great-grandparents, Janet Warman, Rosanna White, and Hoyt White, his aunts Tara Snyder, Jordan Upton and husband Chris Upton, aunt Kelly Wilson and uncle Thomas Wilson, his uncle Greg White, his great uncle Randy Canfield, Aunt Haley Beck and her husband Devon Beck, his cousins, and extended family members. Mattix is preceded in death by his mother, Megan Anderson, great-grandmother Dortha Drummond, and his papa Roland Rollins.
A memorial service to honor Mattix's life will be held on Friday April 18th, 2025 at the Bella Vista Church of Christ at 1:00pm. In the spirit of Mattix, we encourage everyone to carry light, laughter, and love wherever they go—and to always believe that heroes are real.
