Obituary

Michelle Powers was born August 9, 1980 in Conroe, Texas and went to be with Jesus on Friday February 5, 2021 in Lincoln, Arkansas. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Texas by Brother Kenneth Hayman. She will be buried at Vineyard Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas. She is survived her son David Michael Embrey of Morrow, Arkansas; her mother Laura Powers also of Morrow, Arkansas; one sister Amanda and husband Anthony; nephews Isaac and Noah; nieces Abigail and Hanna Jo Bellamy of Stillwell, Oklahoma; brother Justin Gray of Texas; Grandmother Judith Gray of Willis, Texas; her sweetheart Chris Greene and his son Jake of Lincoln, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her brother Joe Tomlin Powers II; her daddy Joe Powers Sr; her father Larry Dale Gray; five grandparents and fiancé Sean Kichline. Michelle lived the first 17 years of her life in Montgomery, Texas. A short time in Gillette, Wyoming where she visited Keyhole Lake and Casper Mountain, she saw the wild mustangs run. She spent most of her life in Lincoln and Morrow, Arkansas. Shortly after graduating from Lincoln High School she suffered a major setback, one that changed her life forever. It slowed her down but nothing could stop her. God cradled her in his loving arms until she could stand again. Life hit her hard but God gave her wings. She soared with the eagles always looking forward. She loved God, second only to God, David was her shining star. She loved wild flowers, Michelle planted wherever she went, leaving in her path the sweet aroma of God's own nectar. She left everybody with a smile, a hug and An I Love You. The sound of her laughter was contagious and will be forever in my heart. She loved road trips and good music, a crescent moon, sunsets and the sound of the waves breaking on the beach. She was one of Gods' greatest blessings. She was the strongest most courageous woman I ever met. She faced giants, battle after battle always looking to confront others even though her own struggles were far beyond what most of us could imagine. She never complained, she was a warrior in every sense of the word. She reached out to people in pain because she knew what pain felt like. She forgave freely, she never held a grudge. It's no wonder that at the tender age of 4 Amanda gave her the name " Belle", we found out it meant beautiful and decided it suited her personality. The first 9 month of her life God allowed me to carry her in my womb where she was protected from the worries and cares of the world. The last 9 months of her life God allowed Chris Greene to carry her in his heart where she was loved and protected from the worries and cares of this world. Together with their boys David and Jake they took road trips, played guitars and sang songs. They laughed and cut up and played pool. They counted cows, a lot of cows. They were their own family. She had the life she had always dreamed of. When the clay pot breaks the spirit immediately returns to the father from where it came, and so it is well with my soul. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Evansville Community Church with Pastor Anthony Bellamy officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Kichline, Mike Westfall, Jake Greene, Jarred Ray, Jeremy Houston, Mike Hale.
