Myong Song Kim, 59, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on November 9, 1965, in Seoul, South Korea, to the late Dukkyu Kim and Obok Lee. Mr. Kim worked at Cobb Vantress and was known for his love of golf, Taekwondo, fishing, fixing computers, and, most of all, spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. In 1985, he moved to the United States with his brother, Hansong. He then later returned to South Korea, where he married his wife, Soondeok, in 1991. Together, they made their home in Northwest Arkansas to raise their two children.
He is survived by his wife, Soondeok Kim of Rogers, Arkansas; son, Juneil Kim of Marshfield, Missouri; daughter, Suejin Alderman and her husband, Andrew, of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren, Hadley Alderman and Levi Alderman; brother, Hansong Kim and his wife, Hoasoon, of Pikeville, Tennessee; three sisters, Moonhyung Kim and her husband, Sun Tae, of South Korea, Soon Jea Kim of South Korea, and Sunok Brenner and her husband, Min Yom, of Springdale, Arkansas; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas with Pastor Hyeong Kwon Jung officiating. His visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Benton County Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
