Nancy L. Nelson, 77, of Marion, Arkansas, peacefully passed away at her home on January 30, 2024. Born on December 22, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was a beloved member of the community who touched the lives of many. Mrs. Nelson was an active participant in various organizations, reflecting her commitment to community service. She was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas, 8th Street Mission for Jesus Christ, and Hope House Ministries. These affiliations were a testament to her compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Rouse-White; father, James Winford McClarty; sister, Linda K. Allen-Gilbert; grandmothers, Helen Mable Rouse; aunts, Sarah Henke, LaVonia Duvall, Helen Mable Saucier; and uncles, Robert Rouse, James Rouse, Raymond Rouse.

Nancy is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Barnett, and her spouse, Mary Ward, who will forever hold her memory close. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Bradley Barnett, Steven Kott, and great-grandchildren Selena Jade Barnett, Gabriel Alexander Barnett, and others.

In addition to her immediate family, Nancy is remembered by her nephew, Robert L. Gray, and by many other beloved family and friends, all of whom were touched by her love and kindness.
