IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy Christine
Royer
May 4, 1940 – December 30, 2024
Nancy Christine Royer, age 84, peacefully passed away on Monday, December, 30, 2024 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born May 4, 1940 in San Gabriel, California to the late Bernard and Renette Hansen. A devoted housewife and loving mother, Nancy dedicated 13 years of her life to Walmart where she set up and managed the sample store. Her passion for creativity was evident throughout her life as an accomplished artist skilled in pottery, crazy quilting, embroidery, acrylic painting, water coloring, doll making, zen doodling/zentangles, origami, jewelry making, and much more. Nancy's home was filled with her creations which brought joy to family and friends alike. She had an innate ability to turn simple materials into beautiful works of art that reflected her vibrant spirit. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and creativity.
She volunteered at the Friendly Bookstore, and always had a book in her hand. Three days a week, she could be found at Einstein's enjoying her favorite thinly sliced sesame bagel with garden veggie cream cheese alongside a large sugar-free hazelnut breve. It was in this welcoming setting that she formed a special group of friends who bonded over shared laughter and created lasting friendships.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Royer; two daughters, Susan Curry and husband Dan, and Julie Gayler, all of Rogers, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Tyler Baker, Janelle Gayler, and Lee Lackie and wife Aimee Lackie; seven great-grandchildren, Ricky Hardwick, Andrew Baker Hendrix, Shaylee Lackie, Ben Lackie, Ethan Baker Reed, Lily Lackie, and Abel Long, all of Rogers, Arkansas.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel.
