Norma Jean Shields, age 83 of Bella Vista, Arkansas and formerly of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Arkansas. Norma was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 27, 1929 to Leonard and Avalee (Long) Taylor. Norma enjoyed drives around the lake, going out to eat, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Charlene; one brother, James Taylor; and one sister, Mildred Morris; Norma is survived by two sons, Neal Garrett Shields and wife Sue of Texas; James Neal Shields and wife Marilyn of Oden, Arkansas; one daughter, Karla Jean Moore and husband Joe of Bella Vista; four grandchildren, Kelly, Kimberly, Travis, and Dillon; three great grandchildren, Aurielle Rose, Addison Jean, and Emery Lafayette; and numerous other relatives and many friends. Celebration of Life services will be 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Benton County Memorial Park's Funeral Home Chapel (3800 West Walnut) in Rogers, Arkansas with Pastor Galen Pearcy officiating.
