Otis James Montgomery, age 93, of Rogers, passed away August 5, 2014. Otis was born February 15, 1921, in Pershing, Oklahoma, to parents Ernest Montgomery and Myrtle Burns Montgomery. He was united in marriage to Lucille Snyder on October 23, 1946, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Otis was retired from the Rogers Public Schools, where he spent over 20 years in maintenance and cabinet making. He was a strong Christian, keeping the faith for over 80 years. Otis enjoyed his family and was a talented woodworker. Otis was preceded in death by his parents, as well as one sister, Helen Lucille Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Lucille of the home; sons, Earnie Montgomery and wife Dona of Fayetteville and Dave Montgomery and wife Janice of Rogers; daughter, Sarah McBryde and husband Gary of Tulsa; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas, with interment to follow also at Benton County Memorial Park.
