Patsy Ann Talley Blood, age 86, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. Born on January 14, 1940, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to James “Jim” Elisha Talley and Wilhamina “Wilma” (Ackley) Talley, Patsy spent the majority of her life creating a warm and loving home for her family. A woman of many talents and quiet passions, Patsy found great joy in quilting, knitting, and painting. She had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. When she wasn’t outdoors or crafting, she enjoyed classic Westerns. Patsy’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved God, cherished the comfort and promise found in Psalm 23, and attended church regularly for as long as her health permitted. Above all else, her greatest pride and joy was her family. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” Elisha Talley and Wilhamina “Wilma” (Ackley) Talley; her beloved husband, Robert “Sonny” Blood; her great-grandson, Parker Talley Blood; and her siblings: Wes Talley, Wayne Thornburgh, Adrian Talley, Jim Talley, Ellis Talley, Vern Thornburgh, Wes Thornburgh, Ona (Talley) Austbo, Marion Talley, Leota (Talley) Kelley, Rhea (Talley) Smith, Reva (Talley) Venn, Opal (Talley) Clark, Belva “Jean” (Talley) Benson, Elsie May Talley, Billie (Talley) Burns, Betty Talley, Ruby (Talley) McCormick, and Wilda (Talley) Wilson.
She is survived by her two sisters, Helen “Sis” Davenport of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Wilma (Talley) Bishop (Dave) of Rogers, Arkansas; her daughters, Doris Evans (Diane) of Southwest City, Missouri, and Denise Fair of Bella Vista, Arkansas; her sons, David Blood of Gravette, Arkansas, and Danny Blood (Phyllis) of Lamar, Oklahoma; and her grandchildren: Chad Ketron (Daphne) of Rogers, Arkansas; Toby Aguirre (Brittany) of Rogers, Arkansas; Jason Blood (Sara) of Rogers, Arkansas; Nicholas Blood (Nicole) of Rogers, Arkansas; Bryan Blood (Hannah) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Josh Johnston (Heather) of Rogers, Arkansas; Tabatha Roodhouse (John) of Mokane, Missouri; Jaci Weems (Josh) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Matt Blood (Tandel) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; Amanda Blood (Jason) of Mokane, Missouri; and Justin Fair of Bentonville, Arkansas. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 W. Walnut Street, Rogers, Arkansas 72756, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
Patsy will be remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering faith, creative spirit, and deep love for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
